Soil health is the foundation for all healthy plants. This class will be an intro to soil composition, soil creation using compost, planning for plant diversity based on soil conditions, and how to spot problems. This class is intended for people who are entirely new to soil management, however people of all skill levels are welcome. “Soils” is oriented towards adults, but kids are welcome if they are interested or are otherwise able to occupy themselves. Class will be taught in English, is free of charge, wheelchair accessible, and will last 30 to 60 minutes. This class is weather dependent. Led by Bronwyn Pappas-Byers, One Nature intern and Environmental Studies student at Vassar College.
